If your currently in the market for an edge-lit LED, you may have noticed that there are few reasonably priced models larger than 46". The LG 47LV355U is one such LED TV that is affordable and a serious alternative to similarly priced LCD TVs.

The LG 47LV355U is a basic TV feature wise - for example it only has a standard Freeview tuner. This would therefore make it suitable for people that can already receive content through Sky, Virgin or a seperate Freeview HD tuner. The TV does however have USB input which allows you to view films and other media files directly from a USB hard drive, and 3 HDMI ports for connecting high definition devices.

This is a great offer for a massive, high end 3D Ready TV! If your looking for a 3D capable 50"+ screen at the moment then this is by far the best value one around at the moment.

The Samsung PS51D550 is part of Samsung's latest Series 5 plasma TV range and is packed with features including a 1080P display capable of displaying 3D content when you buy glasses (sold separately). This model also comes with DLNA which allows you to stream films directly to your TV from your PC/laptops by plugging it into your router or connecting via WIFI. Other notable features include 600Hz motion technology which improves playback fast moving video and Freeview HD for viewing HD channels for free through your aerial.

The reviews on this TV are fairly limited since this is a new model although there are a couple of customer reviews on Reevoo.

The LG 50PV350T is a great 1080p 50" plasma television packed with some features you would not expect for the price.

The highlights of this TV include Freeview HD for viewing high definition channels though your aerial, 600Hz motion technology which improves viewing of fast moving video and a USB port which allows you to connect a USB hard drive and plays a variety of video formats.

While the LG 42LK450U is a fairly basic TV feature wise (just a standard Freeview Tuner, no Internet TV), it has some useful extras such as a USB input which is able to play video, music and photos directly from the TV when you plug in a USB hard drive. It also has a decent number of HDMI ports for a low-end TV - most people won't need more than 3 of them!

Anyone looking for a TV on a tight budget at the moment should seriously consider this deal and reserve one before stocks run out or Amazon increase the price!

The Toshiba 32EL833B is the cheapest 32" edge-lit LED TV around at the moment. It is a fairly basic model (HD Ready and no Freeview HD) but does include some useful features such as a USB port which can play video directly from a USB hard drive.

In my opinion this TV would be perfect for a bedroom due to it being very thin (4.5cm deep) and wall mountable compared to similar LCD TVs, yet its not much more expensive.

This LG 42LV355U is a very well priced, ultra slim, edge-lit 1080p LED TV. It doesn't have the latest technologies such as Freeview HD or Internet TV, but this is a minor point for someone who can already receive HD and on-demand content through cable or satellite. It does however have USB input which can play Div-X encoded video directly from a USB hard drive which is usually a feature only higher-end TVs have.

Amazon are offering this TV at a great price and much cheaper than any other shop is selling it for at the moment.

The Toshiba 40RV753B is a great value budget 40" TV. Despite its low cost it is packed with the latest technologies including DLNA which allows users to stream videos and other media from their local PC network. This TV also has a Freeview HD tuner to take advantage of the free HD channels currently offered on Freeview and USB input which allows you to play video, pictures and music directly to your TV from a USB drive.

Note that in order to connect this TV to your home network and enable DLNA functionality you either need to connect it to your network router using an ethernet cable. or wirelessly via WiFI. If you choose WiFi then you'll need to buy a special Toshiba WiFi adaptor available here.

£349.99 is the lowest price I've seen for a model of this specification so far - I would presume stocks will run out fast so I would reserve one ASAP!

The Toshiba 37RV753B is a budget LCD TV but with a very good specification, and includes features you wouldn't expect at this price point. This is the best value 37" LCD TV being sold at the moment that I can find!

Highlights of this TV include a Full HD display (1080P), Freeview HD, 4 HDMI inputs and 2 USB input for playing videos and other media files directly from a USB hard drive. Most impressively of all, 37RV753B also includes DLNA which allows you to connect to your stream videos across your home network - this can be done by connecting your TV to your router via Ethernet cable or buying a wireless dongle to connect via WiFi.
